Body to Body - 2020
Tensta Konsthall

Body to Body consists of two sculptures in mdf and 11 textile banners, all made of a variation of materials and textile techniques. On each textile a figure is depicted that is taken from the history of pedagogy. The figures all have their own aesthetic form and are in varying degrees of abstraction and with their diversity of expression they form a varied group. The group or “crowd” revolves around the sculptural installation which consists of two tables / four-leaf clover shapes. The tables have taken their form from the architectural plan of the pedagogue and philosopher John Dewey's experimental school. The tables are placed on carpets cut in the same shape as the table top so that the illusion of a shadow is created on the floor.
